Course Description: This comprehensive course delves into the essentials of coaching, guiding participants through the multifaceted role of a coach. Participants will explore various coaching styles, learn the significance of adopting a personal motto, understand the importance of being a good follower, and engage in activities that reinforce learning and skill development.


Introduction to Coaching: The course begins with an exploration of what it means to be a coach, examining the responsibilities and the profound impact effective coaching can have. Participants will distinguish between coaching, mentoring, and counseling, and reflect on the qualities that make a great coach through self-assessment and personal development planning.

Coaching Styles: Participants will gain insight into different coaching styles, including directive and non-directive approaches, as well as situational coaching. Through self-assessment tools and role-play exercises, participants will identify their own coaching style and learn how to adapt it to suit the needs of various individuals. The module emphasizes the importance of feedback and reflection in understanding one’s coaching approach.

Choosing a Motto: The course emphasizes the transformative power of a personal coaching motto. Participants will examine how a motto can guide and influence their coaching practice. A workshop session will provide an opportunity for each participant to craft their own motto, which will be refined through peer review and collective feedback.

Being a Good Follower: In this section, participants will delve into the concept of follower leadership, recognizing how effective following is integral to successful leadership.
